Dale Maizels

Dale loves nothing more than a long day of riding her bike and a chat along the way.

Dale comes from a family with strong cycling heritage. From her father as a NSW road champion, brother as a great cyclist in his own right to a nephew who has represented the Australian Green and Gold.

However Dale is very accomplished competitive rider in her own right, which multiple Australian Titles to her name. Track, Road, Cyclocross & Gravel. Pick your discipline Dale has probably won something.

Ama l’Italia per sempre (Love Italy Forever)

Dale has always been a keen traveller and is required to travel extensively with her career, and after a friend on whim said lets do this bike tour in Italy…. well …. she was hooked.

Since then Dale has found her way to Europe every year.

Dale fell in love with the amazing landscape and scenery of the Dolomites. The long days of riding out of Bormio and the fun riding around Valdobbiadene. Not to mention taking the ‘arty’ photos of medieval looking doors and flowers at many of our destinations.

Dale is also a keen hiker and tries to line up a hike while in Europe.

Wait there’s more!

While Dale has made four tours in Italy, she has also travelled and led tours in other regions of Europe. Dale has guided and raced in France and Slovenia.

Dale has a real sense of adventure and mores the point doing it on her bike.

Whether it be competing in a local bike race, leading a group on the great riding destinations of our tours, the Mornington Penninsula’s gravel scene or just wandering the bike paths of Melbourne, well one thing is for sure. Dale will be out there with a grin on her face.
